July 26th. 1938

Dear Aubrey,

Your letter of 20th. inst. only came to hand this - Tuesday - morning, together with cheque for £3/6/6.

Have instructed Phillips to send out the 'giant killer' by first truck and trust it arrives intact.

Town very quiet naturally, have had rain for six days with a total of about 65 points, one decent rain now would do some good on the Common which looks dreadful - practically all stock dead.

Trust you are keeping fit, you will be something of a stranger when you do visit the city again.
