The corpse of an emu, caught in a fence, likely at Wooramel Station. Note the twisted strands of fencing wire. Photo is numbered "7", but no other numbered photos have been found in any series like this.

Transcription

The fate of thousands of emus in the back country all over Australia. In attempting to either hurdle, or scramble over the wire fences. Note how the struggles of the bird have "twitched" the strands of wire.
