a shade weary.
Sales on at present. We have again bought very little, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
Mother came down to-day & mended a hole in the pocket of your pants. Will fix the place where the flannel is wearing on the pocket next time.
Went in to see Cousin Ernest oh Saturday afternoon. He averred he was "never better" & said he had no pain at all. I believe Dr Minchin took a piece of skin from his leg to graft in the ear. I don't know what it was all about, but apparently he had to remove quite a piece from inside his ear. He said then he hoped to be coming out about to-day, but I don't know if he did. He said they treated him very well & he had "too much attention" & plenty to eat. Dear old chap.
Cousin Eva now says she won't come to Perth until she has to — meaning, I suppose, when she feels she can't look after herself any more. It is bitter luck that one so independent should lose her sight.
It is all very vague, but if this new Rent Bill is passed, Mother will almost certainly have to give up 59, so she might come down here & I go away to the East for a while, with the idea
